The Crown of Alpine Canyons
Experience Volarja, a remote and highly technical canyon beneath Mt Krn in the Julian Alps. Its sunny alpine setting combines deep pools, natural slides and several long waterfall descents, including the impressive 90-metre Gregorčič Waterfall.
This expert-level tour is suitable only for experienced canyoners with excellent fitness, strong mountain skills and confidence on long rope descents.

About the experience
The descent begins shortly after leaving the vehicle and continues through a wild canyon of deep pools, natural slides and high waterfalls. Jumps are possible in some sections but are not mandatory.
The highlight is the 90-metre Gregorčič Waterfall, followed by other long and technically demanding rope descents. Higher waterfalls and stronger water flow require confident rappelling skills and experience in demanding canyon environments.
Early exit is difficult or impossible in some sections. The tour also includes long periods of walking and climbing over rough terrain, followed by an approximately one-hour return through the riverbed.

Previous canyoning experience is mandatory. Participants must have excellent endurance, solid mountain hiking skills and confidence with long rope descents and exposed terrain.
Food, drinks, travel insurance and health insurance are not included. Participants with previous injuries, medical conditions or concerns about their fitness should contact us before sending an inquiry.
